In the game, the player assumes the role of a hacker in the year 2010, who begins work for the Uplink Corporation, which is a world-wide company. It is a game that is best described as a simulator of the cinematic depiction of computer hacking. I still have to really get into the game, but the first few hours really solidified this one into an instant classic for me. Uplink is a video game released in 2001 by the British software company Introversion Software. We have worked with top B-Schools in India. The gameplay mechanics are well thought out, so players know exactly what to do when, but at the same time, they are free to play the game however they want to. CareerCarve works in the space of mentoring and training B-School students. ![]() And there's enough challenge that the whole "hacker" thing doesn't end up as a gimmick. I think this is the only hacker sim out there that gets anywhere close to the real thing. You can upgrade your software and hardware tools and rise up the hackerranks by completing more of these missions. ![]() You accept jobs from anonymous individuals which involve breaking into a company's server to do illegal shit. You play as a newbie Agent (read: hacker) working for the enigmatic Uplink Corporation as a for-hire hacker. I had to fiddle with the resolution settings a bit in the beginning, and the mouse-only controls threw me off, but once I got into the hang of it I began to really appreciate what this game was trying to do. It was gathering virtual dust on my library up until yesterday, when I decided to boot it up. Access it from anywhere and perform your jobs, anything from sabotage of enemy computers to backtrack another hacker, to modifying public databases, you may be called upon to do it all.
